Located in a charming bungalow within a block of colorful shops known for some of the region’s most versatile designs in clothes and home furnishings, Claire’s on Cedros offers a homey ambiance and a rich menu that proves healthy and mouthwatering delicious belongs on the same plate. Thanks to its own in-house bakery, off-site organic garden, creative staff and access to locally sourced organic produce, meat and dairy from nearby farms, Claire’s bistro-style offerings are always fresh, generously portioned and with ingredients so artfully combined and seasoned that it was difficult to keep the list of menu selections (of Fall, 2012) shorter than posted below:

served with grilled Armenian flatbread and oil-cured olives

• Fresh greens with added choices of organic grilled chicken breast, grilled salmon or
Meyer’s grass-­fed skirt steak
• Roasted Squash and Wild Grain Salad
• Roasted pear and beet salad with arugula and goat cheese, candied pecans, and a balsamic reduction tossed in an orange honey vinaigrette
• Oven roasted apples. Brussels sprouts, baby turnips and farro over a bed of lightly sautéed spinach,
served with an apple tamarind reduction and topped with toasted hazelnuts
• Thai steak salad of grilled grass-­fed skirt steak marinated in a savory Thai marinade, on butter lettuce with cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red peppers, grated carrot, cilantro, and sesame seeds tossed in a Thai dressing
Sandwiches
• Spicy grilled chicken breast sandwich with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, jalapeños, spicy pineapple relish and roasted tomato aioli served on a homemade brioche bun
• Tuscan slow roasted, thin-sliced pork loin sandwich with melted Fontina cheese, homemade pear mostarda, arugula, and chipotle aioli on toasted multigrain bread
• Lamb sandwich of thin-sliced, slow roasted leg of lamb with oven roasted tomatoes, grilled red onions and sweet bell peppers, fresh arugula, goat cheese and mint pesto on grilled sourdough bread
• Fried Green Tomato Sandwich—cornmeal-crusted fried green tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, jack
cheese, lettuce, chipotle aioli, and mango coleslaw served on toasted multigrain bread (add bacon for 1.00)
Specialties
• Fish Tacos of two grilled white fish slices with cabbage, guacamole, salsa fresca, Jack and Cheddar cheeses, chipotle ranch dressing and a side of corn and black bean salsa
• Fresh Garden Wrap with hummus, avocado, fresh tomatoes, red onions, carrots, lettuce, sprouts, cucumber, bell pepper, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla with choice of sandwich side
